Gus, retailers launch furniture promotion supporting local food banks

TORONTO — Gus Design Group Inc., an home furnishings manufacturer based here, is launching its fourth annual "Keep On Giving!" event, a promotion offering consumers a discount on Gus Modern furniture when they donate to local food banks.

The Henry storage Ottoman is among Gus' popular pieces included in the Keep On Giving! promotion.

From January 1 to 31, consumers that make a donation to local food banks through a Gus retailer will receive 15% off the MSRP on Gus Modern upholstery, dining, storage, lighting and accessories. Collected food and donations will be distributed by participating Gus retailers to local food banks in their respective communities.

"The Gus Keep On Giving Event has a positive effect in our store and in our community," said John Allison, co-owner of NEST Modern, a retailer located in Austin, Texas. "Our customers and staff are helping families in need, and we're giving our customers a great deal on Gus Modern furniture."

The Gus Modern furniture collection includes in-stock upholstery, dining, lighting and accent designs, all inspired by mid-century classics. The Keep On Giving! promotion will include popular Gus pieces like the Atwood sectional, along with recent introductions such as the Flip sofabed, the Henry storage ottoman and the Niagara counter table.

All Gus Modern upholstery is made with FSC-certified wood, which supports responsible forest management.
