MIAMI, Fla. - Interior design personality and artist David Bromstad has partnered with wallcoverings manufacturer Murals Your Way to launch a collection of his work for large format wallpaper murals.David Bromstad lips mural

The collection, which includes familiar signature pieces along with his colorful graphic designs, debuted at "Body, Money, Death," an art exhibition celebrating Art Basel Miami Beach in December 2011. The products have also been featured on Bromstad's design show, HGTV's Color Splash

"Here's how to make a bold statement in a room with 20-foot ceilings," Bromstad said, in explaining the product. "I chose an over-sized mural with the SmartStick option, which was very easy to use. I hung the wallpaper mural on the largest wall in the room and built a huge frame around it using crown molding and trim to mimic a picture frame. The result is over-the-top fabulousness for a great price. If you purchased a framed canvas at that size, it could cost you thousands of dollars."

The murals are available in three formats - canvas, vinyl, and SmartStick. Canvas and vinyl formats are hung similar tDavid Bromstad - new work for Penny Lane

"We're overjoyed to partner with David on his new line of wallpaper murals," said Todd Imholte, president of Murals Your Way. "Our customers are looking for ways to personalize their homes, and David's work is full of personality. For just a few hundred dollars, consumers will really be able to transform their space with David's bold designs."

Bromstad, host of HGTV's Color Splash, is known for his endless energy and out-of-the-box thinking. He began his career as a design student at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla., and now creates works on many platforms, including custom art, furniture building and interior design.

Bromstad's art reproductions are available through Penny Lane Publishing, a collection that expanded this month to include seven new paintings, some of which also debuted at the Art Basel show. A new bedding and bath line with global textile manufacturer 1888 Mills will be available in 2012.
