NEW YORK, N.Y. - Ankasa announced it is opening a new flagship location in Soho, at 424 Broome Street, this spring.
The brand, launched in 2007 by Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia, is best known for its detailed home décor textiles, fine luxury bedding and embroidery techniques steeped in tradition and modern elegance.
Ankasa's designers stayed true to the loft-like architecture of the space while achieving the genuine aesthetic of the brand by creating vignettes within the store that appeal to both experienced designers and new artists alike, according to a company statement. The store, the brand's largest to date, highlights Ankasa's signature with elements of a warm, ethereal color pallet, antiqued mirror and distressed wood.
The new location will feature a significant expansion of furniture and accessories, a private design lounge, and a custom pillow bar where customers may choose from Ankasa's archive of thousands of pillow styles and recolor the base cloth, thread work, cording, sequins and leather in a way that is truly bespoke.
Using vintage framework, Ankasa has drawn artistic attention to their fashion roots by featuring some of the most stunning hand embroidered creations from India.
We would love your feedback!
