Luxury home furnishings producer Alinea returning to High Point Market

HIGH POINT -- Alinea, a producer of high-end, handcrafted mirrors and other accents, will return to High Point Market in a new 1,000-sq.-ft. showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center at the April market.

Located in IHFC D-430, Alinea will introduce a new collection, designed by company creative director Venusia Marfianty, of about 40 mirrors, as well as accent furniture, upholstered pieces, decorative accessories and wall décor. Pieces in the collection are handcrafted from renewable mahogany and finished using old-world techniques, according to the company.

The collection mixes elements of European, Asian and primitive designs, Marfianty said. High-gloss finishes and gilded accents pair with a color palette that features a number of contrasting finishes.

Alinea distributes product to North and South America from its High Point and Los Angeles warehouses; to Europe, Russia, North Africa and the Middle East from its Brussels, Belgium warehouse; and to China, North, Central and Southeast Asia from its Jakarta, Indonesia warehouse.

Alinea produces its line in company-owned facilities in Semarang, Indonesia, a rural city in central Java.

"Alinea represents the singular vision of many skilled designers, artists, craftsmen and associates working together in a number of manufacturing factories to create unique works of art for the international design community," Marfianty said.

The company's designs can be tailored to meet designer and architectural requirements, Marfianty said. Projects range from private residences, villas and palaces to custom-designed pieces of art for gathering areas in luxury hotels and office spaces.

"It's about delivering anything the customer desires, when the customer desires it," Marfianty said of the company's customization options. "As a vertical manufacturer, we enjoy an excellent record of meeting delivery date requirements, which are so critical to clients."

Alinea last showed at the April 2011 High Point Market in the Salon area of the Suites at Market Square.
