HIGH POINT -- Rugs America Corp., a Farmingdale, N.Y.-based rug producer, returns to the Spring High Point Market this month after a five-year absence.
The company will show in IHFC G-373, a 1,500-square-foot space. According to company President Aaron Hakimian, Rugs America is creating a spring themed room with light wood floors and special fixtures highlighting new introductions.
Hakimian argues that as more furniture stores have added rugs to their product assortments in recent years, High Point has become more important to the rug industry.
"There's no better place to display and make available rugs than furniture stores," he said. "They're the one setting where consumers can see how everything fits together - furniture, accents and rugs. To reach the many retailers who are entering into or expanding their rug business, we need to be in High Point. That's where the action is."
The company will debut a number of new collections, which it has invested heavily in, Hakimian said. Rugs America also allows retailers to create their own designs.
"They can come up with their own designs to complement their best-selling sofas," he said. "It allows them to offer the consumer a complete package."
We would love your feedback!
