John-Richard debuts Florence de Dampierre Collection

Multi-category vendor John-Richard unveiled the Florence de Dampierre Collection during the recent High Point Market.

The collection included more than 100 items across all of the company's product categories, including accent furniture, upholstery, lighting, accessories, wall décor and permanent botanicals.
Born in Paris, de Dampierre is known for her antiques boutique in New York City, one of the first devoted to 18th and 19th century painted furniture. She has written five best-selling interior design books and is a frequent lecturer on interior design, antiques and furniture history.

The finishes on the case goods are light in color, and other pieces in the line showcase lacquer, carved wood, brass and porcelain. The permanent botanical pieces are topiaries inspired by designs from Versailles.

"I've been studying and writing about antiques and design for most of my career," de Dampierre said. "Several years ago, I began thinking about reinventing some of the antiques I've lived with to fit today's modern style. The furnishings I created for John-Richard are rooted in traditional motifs, but with a modernist twist.
