NEW YORK - The Bombay Company will begin selling a full line of home décor online at BombayCompany.com starting in mid-September. Bombay Company online ecommerce

The initial launch will include more than 200 new designs as well as best-selling Bombay archival pieces in furniture, decorative accessories, gifts, textiles, seasonal and holiday items. The collection will range in price from $20 for accessories to $1,500 for furniture pieces.

The company decided to move forward with ecommerce based on feedback from its customers.

"The passion for Bombay is alive and well," said Wil Hollands, president of Hermes-Otto International USA, owner of The Bombay Company brand. "When communicating with our loyal customers and fans, we realized there is tremendous interest in Bombay expanding its offerings in a lifestyle format by re-opening Bombay's e-shop.

"For over three decades, we have brought our customers an eclectic assortment of classic home décor and accents pieces embodying value luxury, stylish design and time-tested quality. As we expand our business model, we are pleased to roll out this new consumer-facing website to offer our dedicated customers what they have been so kindly requesting, easier access to their favorite Bombay pieces, and now with our new web shop  they will have access 24/7  from the comfort of their homes."

Now through the launch, Bombay is offering a $25 voucher (off $100 purchase) to shoppers and Facebook fans who visit the site and register for email updates.

Last month, the company announced its latest licensing agreement -- youth, occasional, dining and accent furniture to be produced by The Powell Company.

In December, 2008, OTTO International acquired The Bombay Company brand, once a multi-channel retailer with more than 450 stores and $600 million in annual sales. The first products debuted to the wholesale market in August of 2010 and launched to consumers a month later on QVC.
