81 companies to open for High Point's Premarket

HIGH POINT - This month's Premarket here will have at least 81 exhibiting companies opening their showroom doors for the High Point Market preview event.

Premarket will take place for the first time on a Thursday and Friday, Sept. 13-14.

The High Point Market Authority reports that the event has 21 exhibiting sponsors. Another 60 non-sponsoring companies have told Furniture/Today they also will open their doors.

Set about a month before the fall High Point Market, Premarket gives manufacturers and importers a chance to show new product prototypes in advance of the main show. The market runs Oct. 13-18.

Premarket previously has taken place on a Monday and Tuesday.

Building sponsors for Premarket include 220 Elm and IMC Cos., the owner of the International Home Furnishings Center, Showplace, Market Square and related High Point properties.
