Clearwater, Fla. - A new La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store opened here, located at 27205 U.S. Highway 19. This store marks the fifth La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries location in the Tampa Bay area.
The new 11,244-sq.-ft. store offers customizable furniture, as well as cocktail tables, decorative accent pieces, lamps, area rugs, wall art and accessories. According to a company press release, a professionally staffed design center and free interior design services aim to help customers bring everything together.
"La-Z-Boy Furniture is known for its comfort and quality, and we're proud to bring its wide selection and stellar reputation to Clearwater residents," said John Grieger, store owner. "At our store, customers will find an easy, enjoyable shopping experience and as much help as they need to get the perfect furniture for their homes."
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. - Parmida Home celebrated the grand opening of its 15th national retail store Aug. 4 at Downtown at the Gardens, located at 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave. Parmida Home carries home décor, kitchen accessories, imported coffees and teas, wine and cheese accessories, candles, gourmet items and gifts.
Winston-Salem, N.C. - David Hatcher opened Nekkid Dave, a new home furnishings store located at 106 Reynolda Village. According to the Winston-Salem Journal, Nekkid Dave carries furnishings and accessories from around the world, most priced between $5 and $2,500. The store opened in July.
Durham, N.C. - Home décor retailer West Elm opened a new store in August at The Streets at Southpoint, located at 6910 Fayetteville Road. According to the Triangle Business Journal, it is one of more than a dozen new stores to open at the mall this year. The store carries furniture, bedding, kitchenware, lighting, wall décor, rugs, accessories and gifts.
Dallas - Décor to Your Door, a home fashion website based here, launched a new online store in July. The e-commerce site, located at decortoyourdoor.com, offers home accessories, lighting, wall art, rugs, bedding, dining and gifts.
Los Angeles - Home décor chain Urban Home opened its sixth store here in the Westside Pavilion Shopping Center at the corner of Westwood and Pico boulevards. According to the Los Angeles Times, the company carries more than 3,000 products that are designed in-house. The store carries furniture, lighting, wall art, mirrors, rugs, pillows, tabletop décor and other decorative accessories.
New Tampa, Fla. - Homegoods will open a 32,900-sq.-ft. store in the Walk at Highwoods Preserve shopping plaza off Bruce B. Downs Blvd. According to the website, the store's grand opening is slated for Oct. 21. The discount home furnishings store sells furniture, bedding, lighting, rugs, wall décor and decorative accessories.
Huntington Station, N.Y. - Anthropologie opened its third Long Island store in late June at the Walt Whitman Shops, located at 160 Walt Whitman Road. The chain carries apparel, accessories and home décor, including bedding, lighting, rugs, pillows, wall décor, kitchenware and candles.
Ruskin, Fla. - Tuscan Alley opened in July at 301 U.S. 41 South. The Tuscan and Mediterranean-themed home décor store carries furniture, wall art and home accessories.
Littleton, Colo. - Vintage furniture retailer The Little Black Chair opened in July at 5767 S. Rapp St. According to the Denver Business Journal, the store specializes in "re-imagined" furniture and home accessories, or older pieces that owners Andrea Miner and Becky Giorgiades restore.
Charlotte, N.C. - Nadeau, an importer of handmade furnishings, opened a new 7,284-sq.-ft. store in August at 3100 South Blvd. The store marks Nadeau's 19th location. Nadeau once sold to the trade only, but recently opened to the public. The store carries hardwood home furnishings, accent furniture and accessories imported from India and Indonesia.
