In line with her 12th anniversary with the company, Wendy Reiss was recently promoted at Kas Rugs to vice president of key accounts. She previously served as key account manager, sales and marketing.
In her new post, she continues to report to Rao Yarlagadda, company president.
"I am very excited about this new opportunity," she told Home Textiles Today, a sister publication of Home Accents Today, at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market. "And I am very glad to be working all these years with such a wonderful company."
Kas Rugs came to market with one of its heftiest batches of new product introductions in memory - 26 new collections and 350 new designs, which range from hand-painted flat-woven styles through higher-end wool varieties.
"This is the first market in a while that we've been able to bring in higher price points," Reiss said. "People are still looking for good values. But they are now more open to new qualities. They are ready to look first at product and design before they ask about the price point. They want to stay competitive but they are seeing that innovation is important."
We would love your feedback!
