Soft Surroundings unveils ‘Retreat' furniture, home décor collection

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Soft Surroundings, a multi-channel women's retailer of clothing, bedding and beauty solutions, announced the expansion of its online furniture and home décor offerings into a new collection and catalog called "Retreat."

"For years our customers have asked us for the furniture, rugs, artwork - even the dogs, from our catalog photography," said Robin Sheldon, president and founder. "We've always done our best to find the sources and pass them on. We finally realized that by not having these things readily available to our customers, we weren't providing the experience we want them to have."

Retreat features home furnishings and décor designed by Sheldon and the Soft Surroundings design team. Finding inspiration in the countryside of Provence, the team brought back antiques and artifacts to use as templates for French reproduction furniture and vintage inspired décor, according to a press release.

The Retreat catalog will be sent to a million current customers of Soft Surroundings, the collection is available online, and an Ipad app can be downloaded free through ITunes. Additionally, the Retreat collection will soon be available at the company's 10 retail store locations in Missouri, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Colorado and Texas.
