Joss and Main has partnered with American novelist, screenwriter and producer Nicholas Sparks to launch Curate For A Cause, a curated home decor collection that takes inspiration from Sparks' novels, including The Notebook, Dear John and The Longest Ride, his newest release
The event launches Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. ET and runs through Oct. 15, and the collection's colors and textures will invoke popular scenes from Sparks' novels, such as coastal North Carolina in 1946 where The Notebook took place.
Proceeds will benefit The Nicholas Sparks Foundation, a nonprofit committed to providing students with leadership skills, academic development, international experiences, and cultural understanding necessary to flourish in the global society of the 21st century.
"With the new school year upon us, it's the perfect time to draw attention to my foundation -- an amazing cause that inspires youth to make a difference in the world," Sparks said. "In partnership with Joss and Main, we are excited to raise awareness and funds to develop programs that increase cultural immersion in education with the aim of helping future generations contribute to the story of life by becoming better global citizens."
In 2006, Sparks started The Epiphany School for Global Studies in New Bern, N.C., with a focus on global education, service to others and one's own community, and international understanding. In the fall of 2011, the Nicholas Sparks Foundation was formed to expand the philanthropy of the Sparks family, while showcasing the work being done at The Epiphany School on a national level. Sparks' hope is that friends and fans will be equally inspired to contribute and help make an impact on the world.
"We truly commend what Nicholas Sparks and his foundation have achieved over the last few years. We are honored to have the opportunity to showcase these beautiful product picks reminiscent of his novels to benefit such a worthy cause," said Meredith Mahoney, director of curation at Joss and Main. "As with every Curate For A Cause event, our goal with these special collections is to bring a vision and mission to life with unique products and exquisite furniture."
