About 30 home accent, tabletop and gift vendors have committed to showrooms in New York's high-end design center at 7 W. 34th Street, set to open in April.
The tenants, for the most part, are vacating the 225 Fifth Ave. building, which was sold in 2004 and is being converted to condos.
Among the first to sign for showrooms were Pacific Rim, Two's Company, Vance Kitira International and Vietri.
"We are happy to have such prestigious companies join forces with us as we debut 7 W. 34th Street this spring," said Joan Ulrich, vice president of gift leasing and marketing for Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., which owns the building. "Retailers and designers will recognize the outstanding reputation and design-driven product these companies bring to New York. Their significant commitment to the marketplace ensures a new era of high-style for gift, tabletop and home decor."
The list of showrooms also includes: AA Importing Corp., Alan B. Silverstone, Aldik, Annalee Mobilitee Dolls, Chamart Exclusive, Compact Novelties/Rich Reps, Decorative Things, Department 56, Fiori-Fiori, Godinger Silver, Gift Box Corporation of America, Home Essentials and Beyond, Isadora & Mizrahi, K & K Interiors, Mar Home Decor, The Mary Harper Group/Vera Bradley, Michael Feinberg, The Neuwirth Co., Peking Handicraft, Portfolio 225, Raz Imports, The Richard Cohen Collection, Shinepukur Ceramics, Space M Projects, Vann Lindsay & Associates, Wilton Armetale, Zak Designs and The Zrike Company.
