Home Accents Today launches new Web site

For the past five years, Home Accents Today online has attracted readers to articles, industry news and valuable research trends. To address increasing customer needs, Home Accents Today has updated and launched a new Web site. There are seven new areas to explore, plus the popular sections: Headline News, Editorial Invitations and Research.

The new design features Weblogs (blogs) from Retail Editor Lisa Casinger, who will cover topics in the retail arena. You can receive these blogs in your e-mail inbox as she writes them, or you can log on to the Web site, read them and post your own comments and correspondence. The magazine sections (listed under Products on the old site) are now segmented for easy browsing and reading and will be updated on a regular basis to help keep readers abreast of the latest trends. The Classifieds section also has been updated and visitors can browse up to 44 different categories and submit information to gain online exposure.

Other areas include:

• A robust Research section featuring in-depth reports about the industry
• A comprehensive, searchable online directory, a Web equivalent to the print Buyers Guide
• Valuable information about the Retail segment, complete with insightful Weblogs from industry experts Casinger and Loreen Epp, director of Retail Ideas for Home Accents Today and its sister furniture publications, as well as programs to help you grow your business
• A partnership with eBay provides information about what consumers are purchasing online
• Calendar and conference events sorted by month, with the ability to submit events and sign up for conferences online
• The popular Editorial Invitations section has been updated for ease-of-use and browsing
• The site is able to host your multimedia and video commercials, product presentations and interviews. You can work with the Home Accents Today sales team to host and promote, or submit an idea to the editorial staff on what you would like to view
• The new site can host and promote eCatalogs, which research has shown to get a high response rate, which can result in more sales for you. The Home Accents Today sales staff can also work with customers to create these powerful online versions of print catalogs
