Staff -- Home Accents Today, 10/1/2005
Frankoma Pottery of Sapulpa, Okla., named Ken Taylor as national sales manager. He assumed responsibility in September for development of the Frankoma Private Label division and restructuring the company's national sales force, Frankoma CEO Det Merryman said.
Taylor has been active in manufacturing, sales and marketing of lighting and accessory items for more than 30 years. His firm, called Taylors on Ten, represented 13 manufacturers in two showrooms at the Dallas Market from 1978 to 1998.
He sold that business to devote more time to product development, marketing and consulting. Many well-known companies in the home accent industry have sought his counsel, including Kinder-Harris, Montaage, DSI Lighting and Castilian Imports.
In 1999 Taylor won the Academy of Achievement Award presented by the Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team for his contributions to the decorative accessories industry, and his ability as a proven leader and supporter of partnerships among all facets of the industry.
