Habersham has formally introduced the new Habersham Home concept at the High Point market, transforming 2,200 square feet of the company's Market Square showroom into a fully furnished "home."
Showcasing Habersham's furniture offerings, the complete home design concept also features custom kitchen and bath cabinetry as well as integrated refrigeration units and ornamental range hoods.
"It's amazing how appealing it is to consumers when they see what it is," said Tom Skipper, vice president of sales at Habersham. Instead of looking at Habersham as a source for one statement piece, the concept illustrates how a home can really be filled with Habersham.
"Habersham now offers kitchen and bath, as well as residential furniture designs, for a distinct competitive advantage and a remarkable look," Skipper said.
The overall look is what Habersham terms the Grand European Casual lifestyle, which fits in with today's more relaxed lifestyle. Skipper cites the culture of business suits of years ago has been dressed down by jeans and khakis into a grand, but relaxed lifestyle.
Leading Habersham's plan to develop the custom home business is Jan Hendrick, who has been working with as a design consultant.
Hendrick worked for many years with Jordan's Furniture in Massachusetts. Working with custom home builders, interior designers, architects and retail partners, Habersham has already created several Habersham Home properties in residential developments, with the formal launch part of the company's long-term goal to roll out the concept throughout the nation.
