Pulaski Furniture expands accent lineup

Pulaski has long been known for its extensive line of curios, but the full-line furniture manufacturer recently jumped into the accent furniture business as well.
"We realized there was a shift in the market in 2004 and retailers were looking for more options at the open price point levels," said Larry Webb, president and CEO, Pulaski Furniture.
The manufacturer started its Accentrics line with 75 SKUs last year, added 75 in April of this year, 75 in Las Vegas in July and another 40 at the October show. The line has good, better, best offerings and Webb said they are targeting retailers like lighting showrooms and other non-traditional stores who may not carry full-line furniture.
"In the Accentrics line we have hand-painted finishes in designer colors taken from shoes and handbags," Webb said. "There are plasma TV stands in the line, which are a growing category, that retail for about $699, bars, gaming tables, nesting tables, etageres and more."
Bars also are a popular item, and Pulaski has some that retail for $1,000. Smaller secretaries are new this fall, designed specifically for the second home and empty nest market. For the bigger homes that have large open spaces, wall dividers have become a popular category as they break up the space and provide storage.
Altogether Pulaski's Accentrics collection has 400 SKUs, and Webb said they'd keep adding to it.
"There are always new configurations to work with, new finishes and designs," he said. "Accent furniture is the fastest-growing segment of the business, and we're committed to it."
Pulaski continues to expand its accent furniture offerings with additions to its Accentrics collection.
