Pacific Art Group Private Brand framed art unveiled at market

By Lisa Casinger -- Home Accents Today, 11/1/2005

Pacific Art Group, a division of New Market Solutions, has joined forces with Phoenix Art Group to create and develop private label finished art for distribution exclusively to large national retailers.

Phoenix Art Group's staff of more than 130 artists, artisans and framers will create fine art imagery under the PAG Private Brand collection.

"Our goal is to redefine the way art is sold in North America by making it accessible and affordable for all who want to brighten their environment with fine art," said Helen Bulwik, managing director of Pacific Art Group.

PAG Private Brand will give large, national retailers access to a variety of images, frames and treatments, all customizable for their specific needs and exclusive to them. Ideally, Bulwik said, she'd like the program to grow to where PAG meets with the retailers when they're planning their seasons so the two can work together to develop themes, styles and images that best suit the retailer's needs.

PAG Private Brand was shown in High Point last month. Showroom visitors were shown about 200 images, 90 of which are framed, as an example of the styles, sizes, content, finishes, etc. that are available. The sizes range from 13×13 inches up to 48×48 inches.

Phoenix Art Group offers more than 2,000 new images twice a year in a variety of mediums, including original paintings, hand-finished frames, limited edition etchings and embellished giclees, three-dimensional wall art in glass, copper and steel and art prints. The group is an alliance of leading North American artists, art studios and framers that provides original artwork to top interior designers, art galleries, high-end furniture stores and art consultants on a global basis.

"Our objective is to perfect the business of art by seamlessly integrating design, style, production and technology to create successful partnerships with each of our customers," said Harriet Hilburn, CEO of Phoenix Art Group.
