Hispanic celebrity Cristina Saralegui has inked a licensing agreement with the Minka Group to launch the Casa Cristina Lighting Collection.
"The Minka Group is delighted to welcome Cristina to our family," said Kurt Schulzman, president of the Minka Group. "We currently have a Hearst Castle Collection and a Jessica McClintock Home Collection. We are thrilled to now include Casa Cristina as Cristina is one of the most influential women in our country. We understand the value of her brand and the millions of loyal consumers it represents."
The Casa Cristina Lighting Collection will be inspired by Cristina's personal style and home decorating tastes. The Minka Group plans to bring approximately 80 items to market, including decorative chandeliers, bath and wall lighting, table and floor lamps, wall mirrors and ceiling fans.
The Casa Cristina Lighting Collection will be unveiled at the April 2006 High Point market, the June 2006 Dallas Lighting Show and the July 2006 Las Vegas Market. The collection will be available at retail next June.
The Minka Group joins other Casa Cristina licensees Pulaski, CBK, Jaunty, Lady Americana and JR United.
The multi-Emmy award winning Saralegui is one of the most recognizable and trusted names in the Hispanic community. Later this month, Saralegui will be inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. Now in its 16th year, The Cristina Show is the highest-rated U.S.-produced program on Spanish-language television.
