Norman Bauer, former head of Bauer Lamp and a furniture sales rep, died Nov. 21 in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was 91.
Bauer was the chairman of Bauer Lamp from 1977 to 1997. Prior to that, he was the Midwest salesman for Schweiger and Ashley.
Bauer also was a concert violinist. He played professionally with the Indianapolis Philharmonic Orchestra and the Palm Beach Symphony. In his later years, Bauer performed and underwrote the expenses for charity concerts on behalf of the Morse Geriatric Center and Temple Israel of West Palm Beach.
He is survived by his son, Eric Bauer, a home furnishings marketing consultant, a daughter and five grandchildren.
