Williamsburg to launch kitchen, fragrance lines

The Williamsburg brand of home accessories will extend into the kitchen and enter the home fragrance markets through products to be unveiled this month at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
Through a licensing agreement with Foreside, two product lines will combine Foreside's signature whimsy with Williamsburg's classic inspiration to offer a fresh appearance at moderate pricing. Rose Garden, a line of casual ceramic dinnerware, was developed from a colorful appliquéd quilt in the Colonial Williamsburg historic collections. The curving leaves in Vines of Paradise, a group of metal kitchen accessories, grew from an antique textile in the Colonial Williamsburg collections and can be paired with the Rose Garden Collection or used alone.
"Foreside has wonderful design direction with a breadth of products that are perfect for today's lifestyle," said Jim Easton, Williamsburg's vice president of products. "The kitchen is an expanding room for Williamsburg, and these new collections help establish that we indeed are a brand for every room of the home."
They span ceramic plates, mugs and other hand-painted kitchen accessories such as a chip-and-dip platter and a biscuit jar. The Vines of Paradise line includes kitchen essentials like a spice rack and wall shelf, which complement both traditional and modern decor. The collections will be available at retail in March.
Three historically inspired fragrance blends also will debut in Atlanta through a new relationship with Earth Elements. Lavender Trace, Garden Peony and Shell Walk will be available immediately in an array of products including potpourri, candles, drawer liners, sachets, room mists and fragrance diffusers. The collection will be expanded in July to include two festive holiday scents.
