Waites' designs incorporate intricate detailing and high-end materials. |
The new collection of lamps has been designed by Waites to coordinate with Toyo's existing accessories collections and will be introduced at the April High Point market. The line features high-end materials and fabrics, including metal and suede shapes in quintessential Raymond Waites style and design. Toyo has partnered with a lighting manufacturer to exclusively produce the line. Retail prices will range from $100 to $400.
"Our beautifully hand-painted accessories have evolved over these 20 years in both colors and patterns," Waites said. "This evolution has been a forerunner for the industry as to where design is going next. Lamps have always been a part of our coordinated program. Partnering with Toyo, we have joined forces with a facility in Asia that can take our collection of lighting into new territories of materials and design techniques. Blown glass, ceramics and metal working will all be part of this new Raymond Waites decorative arts collection."
"We are looking forward to continuing the past success of Frederick Cooper/Tyndale in manufacturing and distributing finely crafted lighting designed by Raymond Waites and taking it to the next level," said Toyo President and CEO Randy Nakayama.
