Franz Collection has joined with Kathy Ireland Worldwide in an exclusive licensing agreement to design and manufacture Kathy Ireland Home by Franz — hand-sculptured, hand-painted porcelain tabletops and decorative accessories.
Ireland will work directly with Franz Collection designers in the design and marketing of the collection which will have its soft launch in July at the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market.
The first collection to debut is called Luminescence. The collection features a proud peacock in brilliant colors incorporated into a teapot, creamer and sugar jar, cup and saucer with matching spoon, tray and vase. This collection will appear in stores fall 2006.
"Franz Collection Inc. is proud to announce its exclusive fine porcelain relationship with Kathy Ireland Worldwide, which will allow one of the world's great lifestyle designers to work in concert with our design team and the world's finest porcelain," said Francis Chen, founder and CEO of Franz. "It's taken nearly year for us to put this partnership together."
"The KI Home by Franz Collection will inspire and delight families ... especially busy moms," Ireland said. "These elegant, functional, beautiful items are truly unique. ... Most of all, it's exciting to partner with great people who are innovative. The Franz team is one of a kind. This partnership was truly worth waiting for."
Award-winning Franz designer and sculptor Johnny Ho has designed the line. He is noted for his work on the Papillon and Ladybug collections.
