Oriental Weavers promotes three executives, hires two

Oriental Weavers North America has made several executive-level promotions and new hires.

Jonathan Witt has been named executive vice president of marketing. Witt joined the company in 1997 and most recently served as vice president of marketing for Oriental Weavers North America. He will report to Mike Riley, president of Oriental Weavers North America.

Kim Reynolds has been promoted to vice president of marketing. Reynolds, who succeeds Witt, joined the company in 2002 as sales support coordinator and most recently served as public relations manager. In her new role, she will oversee the company's day-to-day marketing functions, as well as implement the company's goals and objectives for increasing brand awareness in the marketplace.

Brad Baird has been named to the newly created role of executive director of operational planning for the recently joined divisions of Oriental Weavers' North American operations. In his new post, Baird will manage and develop strategies for increased efficiency in areas such as production, inventory control and costing. Baird has been with the Sphinx team since 2002.

In related news, Aaron Gray has been named as the Sphinx national accounts administrator and Tatum Joyce as the Oriental Weavers of America national accounts administrator.

Gray, who succeeds Baird as Sphinx national accounts administrator, comes to Sphinx from Mohawk Industries where he was a national area rug accounts manager for Karastan and Mohawk Select. As national accounts administrator for Sphinx, Gray will serve as the corporate liaison and coordinate Sphinx sales and marketing efforts with flooring retail chains, department stores and other national accounts.

Joyce comes to Oriental Weavers from Accretive Commerce, a third party fulfillment company based out of Chattanooga, Tenn., where as an account executive she managed client services relating to contract compliance and overall customer satisfaction. As national accounts administrator for Oriental Weavers of America, Joyce will serve as the corporate liaison and coordinate OWA sales and marketing efforts with mass merchants and home centers.
