Mariposa names Cole COO

Staff -- Home Accents Today, 10/1/2006

Mariposa has named Tim Cole chief operating officer, reporting to Livia Cowan, president.

Previously, Cole was vice president of sales. In his new role, he will manage the daily operations of the business.

Cowan will take on the position of creative director, where she will concentrate on new product development, supplier relationships and brand development.

"We are at a key point in our business," Cowan said. "We have been steadily growing our base of customers and this management structure change will allow us to continue on that growth path with added attention from new product development, improved capacity, turnaround time, further automation and much more."

Cole has been with the company for one year. Before Mariposa, he was founder and president of a ceramics company, J. Doyle.

"I admire Tim's business philosophy and am grateful to be able to pass the baton to someone who truly appreciates the Mariposa spirit and culture," Cowan said.
