Richard Spicer has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Pacific Coast Lighting, replacing Dave Hambley who retired in July.
Spicer is a lighting industry veteran with more than 26 years of experience. He was most recently director of national retail accounts for Kichler. He has also held senior management positions with The Minka Group and Genlyte Thomas/Forecast Lighting division. He spent the first 10 years of his career running his own sales agency in the central and southern California marketplace.
In each of the companies he has worked for, Spicer has a track record of developing and implementing successful products, sales programs and company service initiatives across multiple distribution channels. "We are very pleased to welcome Rick on board," said Clark Linstone, president of Pacific Coast Lighting.
Spicer will oversee the lighting showroom and furniture store channels, including the brands Kathy Ireland Home, Cabana Joe's and Dick Idol.
"Rick will be responsible for building on the success that Dave has created over the last 18 years. He'll be in charge of identifying new opportunities and exploring and implementing practices to offer world class service to all our customers," said Linstone.
