Sea Gull Lighting names VP, adds mktg. execs

Sea Gull Lighting Products has named Eric Borden to the newly created position of vice president, product management and market research for the company.
As a member of the company's management team, Borden's new role will include creating, implementing and directing the company's product development initiatives in conjunction with the company's sales and marketing teams.
In other news, Sea Gull has boosted its marketing department with several changes. Jody DeVine, a seven-year veteran of the company, has been named director of brand and channel marketing, a new position for the company. In her new role, DeVine will be responsible for channel marketing initiatives serving the lighting showroom segment of Sea Gull Lighting and Monte Carlo Fan Company's marketing as well as the company's overall brand strategy, advertising and public relations programs.
Ellen McCarthy joins the company as director of channel marketing for professional markets. She will manage the company's marketing initiatives serving the electrical wholesale distribution channel, new construction trade and remodeling professionals served by the company.
Brian Michalovic, formerly project manager for the company's sales and marketing technology, has been named director of Internet services and development. In his new role, Michalovic will continue to lead the development of Sea Gull Lighting's Internet presence and online dealer services.
