Nourison names Paquette vice president, soft home

Nourison has hired Paula Paquette for the newly created position of vice president of soft home.
Paquette was previously a senior vice president at Kmart, where she managed Home Divisions and developed the Martha Stewart brand, and a vice president of merchandising for Linens N Things,
"Paula will assist us in our continued growth within the Soft Home market," said Rita Karmiol, executive vice president. "Her position is responsible for maintaining our commitment to excellent service for retailers, delivering quality products to market and exploring and expanding innovative new product lines. We are excited with this appointment and believe we will see accelerated growth come from the area under Paula's direction."
In other news, David Forman has been named to lead all of Nourison's marketing and promotion efforts as the company's new director of marketing.
Forman has an entrepreneurial media and public relations background, having owned and managed a PR/marketing firm with consumer and business-to-business international corporate clients for 18 years. Forman will handle all consumer and trade events, publicity, advertising and internal corporate communications.
Matt Blitz will take on the new title of creative director. In this position, Blitz will oversee all creative design, graphics and production for advertising, collateral materials, retail and consumer sales support, and in-store and showroom displays.
