Garden goings-on

The lure of the garden as a peaceful haven of beauty has become so remarkably tantalizing that designers have brought the signature styles indoors. Among the mainstays are wrought iron looks, often inspired by elaborate garden gates, trellis and lattice motifs, finials, and assorted flora and fauna. While all types of nature looks are on the rise, it's no surprise to see the grandeur of English estate gardens mingle here with a '60s pop vibe.

New Mantel baskets from Aidan Gray Home mimic the look of antique garden wire in a delightful classic shape.
Elegant trellis patterns pop in citrus lime on Shine's kitschy neoclassic Versaille lamp.

Barbara Barry browsed the garden for inspiration for her Boxwood Collection for Wedgwood, replete with topiary icons and encircling hedgerows ($20 to $215).
A fixture of '60s outdoor design, J.D. Staron's retro-print rug asserts attitude with a capital A.

Garden Gate, a set of four prints from Chelsea House, showcases the gates of grand estates in graphic black and white.
The licensed Jeffrey Fisher Style Collection from Sew-Rite offers a veritable bouquet with Heathcote Gardens, combining wrought iron scroll motifs, Jacobean florals and butterfly-embroidered sheets.
