High Point Market-goers will once again be treated to a market week filled with music, entertainment and free food and drink thanks to a series of concerts and themed events sponsored by the High Point Market Authority.
The nightly "Stars Under The Stars" event series kicks off Monday, March 26, with pop rock duo Daryl Hall and John Oates under the Showplace tent along with multiple food and beverage stations.
Tuesday, March 27, dinner under the tent will be accompanied by jazz, blues and gospel great Melva Houston, a North Carolina native and one of the most sought-after stars at jazz festivals around the world.
Wednesday night, March 28, Market guests can rock 'n' roll with Eddie Money singing his '70s hits. On Thursday, March 29, market-favorite The Cookie Band returns. Friday, it's time for the funky sounds of Morris Day and the Time. A full dinner service will be offered on Saturday evening.
"Once again this market, we're planning a jam-packed concert series with something for nearly every musical taste," said Brian D. Casey, president and CEO of the Market Authority. "We're also pairing each of our events with enticing menus to make it easy for our guests to grab a bite and unwind after a productive day here at market."
