New York show changes Piers

Piers 88 and 94 will be open for the August market

Staff -- Home Accents Today, 5/1/2007

Two New York International Gift Fair divisions will move to Passenger Ship Terminal's Pier 88, from their usual Pier 92 location for the August 2007 market.

New & Distinctive Resources and Floral & Garden Accessories featuring Outdoor Living will move to Pier 88, a change prompted by passenger ship use of the Piers during summer market dates, according to Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF Director and GLM senior vice president. The At Home division will remain at Pier 94.

GLM is planning several onsite activities to boost awareness of the change and provide convenient access to all Pier locations, including a free mini-tram service to shuttle buyers between Piers 88 and 94.

Saturday, Aug. 11, opening day at the Piers, GLM will offer buyers $5 parking rebates at Pier 88. And, buyers visiting Pier 88 Saturday will have a chance to win two free tickets to the New York Mets baseball game at Shea Stadium that evening. During all show days, continuous free shuttles will run between the Piers and other market locations (Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Metropolitan Pavilion, permanent showrooms and select hotels).

For attendee information, call 800-272-7469, or 603-665-7524. Additional information and registration is available online at nyigf.com.
