Cabana Joe's adds rugs, wall decor, accessories to licensed lineup

Staff -- Home Accents Today, 6/1/2007

Tropical lifestyle personality and designer "Cabana Joe" O'Brien has announced new partnerships with Surya Rugs and Stylecraft Home Collections for rugs and home décor with a tropical feel.

Surya and Stylecraft will have a soft launch of area rugs and wall decor and decorative accessories programs at the Las Vegas Market in July and a complete roll-out at the October High Point Market.

The new licensees join an existing lighting line with Pacific Coast Lighting, and additional announcements for new programs for indoor and outdoor furniture are in the works. Cabana Joe's will continue working with all its licensees to offering product choices that are natural and eco-friendly.

Cabana Joe O'Brien got his nickname from his laidback casual lifestyle. Living between Hawaii, California and Florida, he spends his time surfing and designing sophisticated products that blend traditional and modern styling, yet remain casual, fun and functional.

"I believe that everyone has a moral responsibility to try to leave this world a better place," he said. "The brand has developed a longer-term eco-objective which is to aim for progress over time and not perfection. We want to do our share by offering consumers more eco-friendly lifestyle choices."

Cabana Joe accessories will debut at the Las Vegas Market in July.
