Sikalis named to key post for new GLM global shows

George Little Management has named Penny Sikalis vice president, global business development, effective immediately. Sikalis will assume her new role, focusing on GLM's growth and development in foreign markets, in addition to her current responsibilities.
In this position, Sikalis will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-level contacts with international government agencies and trade promotion organizations, as well as managing sales agents worldwide, to enhance GLM's global business potential across all relevant shows. She will continue to have overall management responsibility for Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor as VP, show manager, and for Surtex as VP, group show manager.
Sikalis' chief role will be to build and manage ongoing relationships with international stakeholders, in the United States and abroad, for GLM shows as well as corporately. The broader purpose of the appointment is to offer a single point person within the company to centralize and streamline global outreach efforts, acting as a key resource for global contacts relevant to the industries that GLM serves.
Rita Malek has been named assistant show manager for both shows, with specific responsibility for exhibit sales within all non-Asian territories and attendee development within North and South America.
Jaime Kelly and Nicole Johnson have been appointed as show coordinators for Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor. Kelly will assist Sikalis in global business development efforts.
Alessia Adler will provide sales assistance for the shows, while remaining as sales coordinator for Surtex.
