Surya VP to lead expansion

Surya Rugs, a manufacturer and importer in Calhoun, Ga., has named Shauna Snyder vice president of product development. Snyder worked with Art Van Furniture as an accessory buyer prior to accepting the position at Surya.

She will be responsible for product development in area rugs as well as coordinating new accessory product lines such as textiles and wall decor.

Satya Tiwari, president, said the position was created to help guide the company in a new direction.

"Shauna's appointment to this newly created position represents a significant step forward in our commitment to take Surya Rugs to Surya Home," said Tiwari. "We are expanding our product line within home decor to provide a one-stop-shop for home accessories to our diversified client base."
