Nourison unveils updated Web site
Nourison’s has re-launched it Web site with an eye on easier navigation. The new site was created to make it easier for consumers to view collections and for accounts to login and order, company officials said in a release.
Consumers visiting the site from national advertising and publicity referrals can view current national advertising, find and view featured styles and then use the “Dealer Locator” to find their closest retailer(s). The site also includes new information about Nourison’s “Commercial and Hospitality” division, as well as ancillary sites for “Nourtex” and licensees Liz Claiborne and Calvin Klein.
Find modern furniture faster through Web site
The founders of modern furniture Web site FurnitureSeen.com have introduced a service that allows visitors to submit questions about specific items they are looking for. Founders Anita Engs and Susan Reed spend the majority of their days looking at home furnishings, and although they are unable to locate every item, the new, free service allows them to offer practical suggestions to shoppers.
Engs and Reed created FurnitureSeen.com because they were frustrated with the amount of time and effort shoppers must devote to locating original, modern home furnishings. The site features hundreds of products from more than 80 vendors in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Chicago, and has the goal of connecting architects, interior designers, set designers and consumers with modern furniture showrooms and studios.
FurnitureSeen.com doesn’t sell products; instead, it puts site users in touch with a local producer or seller of modern home furnishings. FurnitureSeen.com has become a “great equalizer” for smaller designers by including them alongside established, well-known designers, Engs and Reed said in a release.
