National Geographic, in collaboration with outdoor products designer and distributor New Creative, debuted a line of accent furniture, fountains, decorative accessories and birding products late last year in retail stores and on Amazon.com.

The Outdoor Living Collection includes inspiration from the best selling National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America.

Price points for the 40-SKU collection of birdfeeders, birdhouses, birdbaths, chimes, suncatchers, fountains, lanterns, votives, string lights, trellis, statuary, stepping stones, hooks and design posts range from $20 to $200. The collection's outdoor furniture pieces include mahogany plant stands, side table, chair and bench that retail for between $220 and $600.

In October, National Geographic's Home Italia Collection became available to consumers. The collection is an array of sophisticated furniture that combines classic 18th-century Italian design with classic styling and features traditional walnut veneers, decorative inlays, aged bronze finishes and unique focal points with fluid, sculpted lines. Licensing partners for the Italia collection of furnishings, lamps, area rugs and accessories include Lane, Palecek, Sphinx, iPhotoArt, Toyo, New Creative and Brewster.

“National Geographic is renowned for its passion for travel, exploration and culture,” said Krista Newberry, National Geographic's vice president of licensing, home furnishings.
