-- Home Accents Today, 1/1/2008

CBK, wholesaler of home decor, gifts and accessories, has named Jerry Foreman to the newly created position of vice president of merchandising and marketing. The appointment was announced Dec. 17 by Terry Stewart, president of CBK.

In his new position, Foreman will have overall responsibility for the marketing and product development functions. He will provide strategy based on market driven data, identifying customer needs while building on the foundation of CBK.

Foreman brings a blend of experience in retail, marketing, strategy development and numerous other areas to the position. Most recently, Foreman served as the executive vice president of merchandising, inventory planning and allocation, marketing and purchasing for CPI/PCA International in Charlotte, N.C.

His broad background also includes new business development and marketing for Shop at Home Network, general manager and director for Worldworks, and president and COO of Retailer Services Inc., a division of Ingram Industries.

Additionally, Foreman spent more than 20 years of his career at Service Merchandise and worked his way up through numerous advancements to the position of vice president of merchandising.

Foreman’s enthusiasm for home decor and broad experience in merchandising and marketing will bring a new level of expertise to CBK, Stewart said. “We are excited to have someone with Jerry’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the home decor industry.”

Foreman joins CBK as the company continues its focus on the independent channel through the Diamonds Rewards Program, which offers home decor and gift merchandise that is in stock and available to ship, along with numerous other customer programs and a sales force of 180 associates.

“I am excited and energized about the opportunity to join the CBK team in its mission to support the independent retailer by delivering support and growth in all aspects of our business relationships,” Foreman said.

Jerry Foreman comes to CBK as the company is focusing on independent retailers with its Diamond Rewards Program.
