Poloson introduces Creative Co-Op collection

-- Home Accents Today, 1/1/2008

Collageartist Kimberly Poloson is introducing a collection of vintage accessories with Creative Co-Op Inc. at the winter markets in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Chicago and New York.

Poloson will appear at the Atlanta showroom to meet retailers and sign artwork on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, from 2-3 p.m. The showroom is located in the Gift Mart, 1003.

The collection of 55 SKUs features a variety of products, including accent furniture, boxes designed as vintage suitcases, finials, photo frames, garden containers, decorative pillows and other decorative accessories and gifts.

“I love stacked suitcases and I use them a lot in collections,” Poloson said. “They're fun but they also have purpose. I like to have décor that looks good but also serves a purpose.”

Poloson's designs are reminiscent of family heirlooms that may have collected some dust, yet have become more beautiful for their nostalgic appeal. Some of the accent furniture in the Creative Co-Op collection was inspired by pieces in her own home.

She describes her look as rustic elegance and aspires to creating a time-worn feeling, an earthy touch that builds on texture and classical looks. There is a global feeling to her designs, influenced by Old World Europe.

“We are so pleased with the new Kimberly Poloson collection from Creative Co-Op,” said Sam Abell of Courtney Davis, licensing agent for Poloson. “She brings an eclectic mix of vintage pattern and design together on a product line featuring many multi-functional and sellable products for the home.”

Poloson's Oregon home and studio have been featured in Better Homes & Gardens and Romantic Homes magazines. She says her personal life and decor reflect her beliefs that one's home should nourish the soul and that one should be surrounded by objects, textures and patterns that warm the heart.

Poloson's designs have translated into an extensive line of prints published by Gango Editions, where she is one of the company's top-selling artists. Her art also can be found on tabletop accessories, wall coverings and wall decor through licenses with more than 25 companies, including Barnstorm, Bacova Guild, Cypress Home, The Lang Company, Tweel Home Furnishings, Sakura and Pimpernel.

Creative Co-Op Inc. is a six-year-old company based in Memphis, Tenn.

The product line includes wall décor, accent furniture, decorative pillows and decorative accessories and gifts. The company has showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas and New York 7 West.

Poloson's designs are reminiscent of family heirlooms.
