What retailers are saying

-- Home Accents Today, 1/1/2008

In an online survey of retailers who carry rugs, conducted in December at HomeAccentsToday.com, a majority (72%) told us rugs represented 10% or less of their sales. The major complaints with carrying and selling rugs are that they are hard to display, sizes are not standardized and colors are hard to represent. Our respondents were 28% furniture stores, 16% home accent/gift stores and 24% interior designers, with the rest representing department stores, mass merchants, direct-to-consumer and other channels.
