Furniture Classics expanding in High Point

Launch of 12,000 sq.ft. space in Showplace planned for spring

-- Lane Harvey Brown -- Home Accents Today, 1/14/2008 7:30:00 AM

Furniture Classics Ltd. is expanding its showroom space in High Point, company officials announced last week in Atlanta.

This spring, the company will unveil its expanded 12,000 sq. ft. space in Showplace, said President Michael Ricks. “This is just an amazing opportunity for us. High Point is the home of furniture. I don’t foresee that title being taken away,” he said. When the company was considering possible expansions last year in High Point or Las Vegas, he added, “It was a no-brainer to take High Point.”

The showroom lease was signed Jan. 11. Ricks said while the company would typically introduce 40 new products in High Point, “the goal this time is to get 60 true winners.”
