Phillips Collection exporter dies
Stockton, 53, was a green movement advocate

Michael Jay Stockton, Southeast Asia export agent for the Phillips Collection, died suddenly in his sleep in Thailand on Jan. 7. He was 53.
An industry veteran, Stockton was a founder and partner in Stockton-Gage Trading before joining the Phillips Collection. He was an advocate of the green movement. “Mike gave generously of his time and spirit to causes in Northern Thailand and to the City of Hope Women’s and Children’s Center in his native Dallas,” said company President Mark Phillips. “We will miss him dearly.”
Stockton is survived in the United States by his mother Betty Stockton, daughters Christina Rushing, Melody Macalusco, and Melissa Stockton, and by his stepson, Jeremy Ballard, and in Thailand by his wife, Walaiporn, stepdaughter, Waranya Sakthamcharoen, and stepson, Sarawut Sakthamcharoen.
