Furnitureland South using blogs to communicate with customers
-- Home Accents Today, 1/1/2008
National home furnishings retailer Furnitureland South is using blogs to communicate with customers and plans to expand them to offer new features this year, including frequent blog postings and a continuous presence in the online forum to address customer needs, questions, suggestions and design ideas.
The blogs (available at http://www.furniturelandsouth.com) will include frequent posts by members of the sales and design team and furniture care experts. Currently, there are two blogs. One which pertains to current topics of interest such as color coordination, space planning and the other discusses furniture care and construction. In addition, a discussion forum allows online users to ask questions of Furnitureland South’s experienced design team. Product announcements and company news will also be highlighted.
“We want to do more than just sell furniture,” said Jason Harris, executive vice president. “Our design team provides meaningful expertise to customers when they visit our store, but this blog allows us to interact with customers both before and after their Furnitureland South experience. Designing or redecorating a home is a complicated process, and we’re proud to provide a well-rounded series of services to the public whether they shop with us or not.”
