What retailers are saying
-- Home Accents Today, 2/1/2008
In an online survey of retailers who carry accent furniture, conducted in January and early February at HomeAccentsToday.com, 49% of our respondents said accent furniture represented 30% or less of their sales. The major complaints with carrying and selling accent furniture are high minimums, shipping costs and damage, and quality control. Our respondents were 22% furniture stores, 35% home accent/gift stores and 14% interior designers, with the rest representing department stores, mass merchants, direct-to-consumer and other channels.
