Former Horizons owners open consultancy

Former owners of Horizons International Accents, Jeff Walsh and Mona Scheerr, have opened a consulting firm to leverage their knowledge of the Asian imports market.
After more than 20 years in the business, the pair will know offer their expertise to assisting other decor companies with product development and logistics with the new company, Design Origins.
“Compared to when we first opened Horizons in 1986, there are many companies that bring in product from overseas. Importing has become extremely complicated. Mistakes can be horribly expensive,” Walsh said. “I want to use my years of experience to help other decor companies with multi-country, overseas product development. From the initial product concept all the way through final packaged product, Design Origins has something very unique to offer the industry.”
