CMI names Roy Evans VP of sales and marketing

Colonial Mills Inc., manufacturer of braided-texture area rugs, has named Roy Evans to the position of vice president of sales and marketing.

A 30-year veteran of the floor covering industry, Evans will be responsible for the company's entire sales and marketing function and will report directly to company president, Donald M. Scarlata.

Evans brings vast experience to his new position, having served in top level sales, marketing and management roles at several major rug manufacturers. Prior to his current position, he served as executive director of national sales for Feizy and got his start in the industry as business manager at Milliken & Co. He also previously held positions at Obeetee, Pande Cameron & Co. of NY, Rainbow Rugs and Natco Products.
