Royal Doulton USA promotes four in sales and marketing

-- Home Accents Today, 4/1/2008

Royal Doulton USA, manufacturer and distributor of fine and casual china, crystal, giftware and collectibles, has announced four promotions within its sales and marketing departments.

The promotions, which take immediate effect, begin with Dennis Marton's promotion from vice president of marketing to senior vice president of sales and marketing. In this new role, Marton will continue his responsibilities of managing all product development, advertising and marketing initiatives for Royal Doulton USA, and takes on the additional responsibilities of managing Royal Doulton USA's wholesale sales division.

Within Royal Doulton USA's wholesale sales division, Chris Wilkey has been promoted from national sales manager to vice president of sales. Since joining the company almost three years ago, Wilkey has been integral in broadening and strengthening Royal Doulton's distribution. In his new position, he reports to Marton and will continue to develop the company's revenue base by working more closely with key accounts and directly managing Royal Doulton's sales force.

Karen Kirk adds the national bridal spokesperson duties to her existing responsibilities to become the national bridal and field merchandising manager. In her current role, Kirk directs the company's field sales associates in the training of retailers' sales personnel, as well as improves the position of Royal Doulton's products at point of sale. In her new role, Kirk will report directly to Wilkey.

Joe Schmidt has been promoted to e-commerce & media director, adding the responsibilities of managing the company's media activities including public relations and advertising, to his existing duties of managing the marketing of the company's U.S. Web site and supporting the online initiatives of wholesale customers. Schmidt will strategically implement programs and campaigns to further drive brand awareness and revenue for the company. Schmidt will also maintain his current duties as collectibles manager and continue to report to Marton.
