Hilda Flack Glamour Collection launches in Palm Beach
-- Home Accents Today, 4/1/2008
Noted Palm Beach designer-retailer Hilda Flack launched a two-week introduction event for her new Hilda Flack Glamour Collection of furniture and accessories with a celebration in March at the company's 30,000-sq.-ft. Palm Beach Gardens showroom.
Flack's plans were first announced in Home Accents Today in 2006 when she began assessing product opportunities for her super-luxe signature style. Last month's launch included several hundred new products, with more to unveil in the coming weeks. “We've spent the last 18 months working with several manufacturers who have helped us develop products using our own fabrics, fringes and trims,” Flack said. “We have a lot of wood, too, much of it European. The carving is exquisite, and the quality is extraordinary.”
Flack designed the collection which features upholstery, wood furnishings, objets d'art and accessories. “There are tons of accessories, frames, bedding, sheets, pillows, even handbags,” she said. “It is elegant, useful and very chic, and I am convinced of the collection's appeal.”
Flack will wholesale the products too, and is planning to exhibit at future furnishings markets.
Flack said she is “driven to continue creating” and has an ambitious plan to expand. “We're using the store in Palm Beach as a model, with plans to take the collection to stores and boutiques around the country.” — Susan Dickenson
