After 40 years in the wall decor business, Lawrence Unlimited has been sold, and its owners, Larry and Renee Anenberg, have retired.
The company, including name, inventory, designs, machinery and some employees was acquired by Double Decor and its owner Doug Nagy in December of last year.
Double Decor is also a wall decor company, but one that has focused on the hospitality market. According to Renee Anenberg, the acquisition was made to extend that company's reach into the home furnishings and residential sides of the business.
The new ownership will continue to use the name Lawrence Unlimited in the home furnishings marketplace.
“We were very fortunate to be in it for 40 years and to meet so many wonderful people,” Anenberg said. “It is a good industry. Being successful in it is really a question of giving good service and being there for the buyers.”
