The variations of color and intriguing movements of the sea stir an inspirational wave in art glass designers, generating offerings that coast in high style. Look for designs to mimic the ocean's frothy foam in bubbly textures or model rippling seas in waving patterns. Colors run the blue gamut from aquamarine to azure to steel. — Lindsey Strader
Carved waving ribbons of frosted blue translucent glass adorn the mocha-colored opaque glass vases from Three Hands. Nautilus Shells are made from hand-cast recycled glass, splashed in a refreshing ultramarine hue from Palecek ($55 to $90). Thick bubbling ovals add unique texture to the aquamarine Bubble Ware plates from Annieglass. Undulating and swirling patterns punctuate the mouth-blown art glass offerings from Nuvo Designs' Mocha Collection, shown in tan, white and light blue ($300).
