Houston — The Design Source, a collection of five showrooms, is opening at West Ave, Houston's new walkable urban village. Though marketed as The Design Source at West Ave, the showrooms will each have their own identity and aesthetic. Ligne Roset, which currently has a Houston location in the nearby Rice Village area, will have the largest space at approximately 6,000 square feet. The two-story anchor store will carry an extensive selection of exclusive furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. New to the market, Houston@Home, will showcase fine home furnishings from around the world. A third showroom will be specific to luxury kitchens by the Italian Varenna line from Poliform. The final two showroom collections will be announced at a later date.
Dania Beach, Fla. — Lauren David Home Design announces the grand opening of a new 7,000-sq.-ft. design showroom for home accessories, design and furniture, located at 1925 Tigertail Boulevard, Dania. Lauren David offers a diverse mix of merchandise including a selection of floor samples from High Point, N.C., and foreign market manufacturers.
Naples, Fla. — Linens Plus, owned by Jim and Vee Young, have changed the name of their store to Your Island Home Accents & Gifts to better reflect the store's inventory. The couple has owned the store, located on Marco Island, for about a year.
Salem, Mass. — Kim Tenenbaum and Yadira Ramos opened Urban Elements, offering a selection of handmade and eco-friendly furniture and accessories from around the world. The store is located at 230 Essex Street.
Appleton, Wisc. — Sarah Mahn and Laura Vartanian opened Downtown Designs LLC at 119 E. College Avenue in Appleton. The store carries home decor, accessories, gift items, housewares and the work of local artists.
